Since its foundation in 2005 by Hubert de Givenchy himself, Givenchy has been a label for the masses, in the most elitist of ways. Back in the day, Mr. Givenchy was dressing legends such as Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Princess Grace of Monaco. Today, Creative Director Riccardo Tisci puts a contemporary spin on the Parisian house, introducing street couture and dark romantic aesthetics. Innovative menswear tailoring fused with elegant silhouettes and a street-sportswear vibe. No doubt the Givenchy we know today calls to mind Bambi and Rottweiler graphic prints, the infamous Antigona and Pandora bags, or celebrities like Liv Tyler… but the house remains timeless in its fearless contemporary edginess.
