In 1889, Jeanne Lanvin, a curious Parisian inspired by just about anything she could get her hands on (art, fabric, news articles…), but mostly inspired by her daughter, founded her flavorful brand that we all know so well today. Lanvin is rich with detailed embroidery, skilled beadwork and excellent use of color. But perhaps the brand’s strongest point is the emotional spirit it was built on. It is this sentiment which enhances Lanvin’s lovability amongst many. The brand is also a celebrity favorite for red carpet appearances. For S/S 2010 Lanvin and H&M collaborated and in 2015, Artistic Director Alber Elbaz left his post after 14 years carrying the brand into the future. Lanvin has since broadened its production into perfumes, lingerie, beauty products, sportswear, menswear, interior design, and theatre costume.
