Luxury ski wear and outerwear label Moncler was named after the Monestier-de-Clermont resort in the French Alps. Founded by René Ramillon in 1952, the label is credited for making the luxury puffer jacket a fashionable essential. Characterized by its quilted design and quality down padding, Moncler jackets have been worn by Madonna, Gisele Bündchen, and Olivia Palermo. When the Moncler Genius project was launched, the label forewent the traditional route of having a single creative director and instead appointed multiple creative heads to design Moncler’s clothing, accessories, and shoes.
One of the most popular styles is the Hermifur
coat, which has a mid-length silhouette and a contrasting fur trim at the hood for added warmth and style. Characterized by its chic trapeze-like shape, the Suyen
has a quilted design and an attached hood for ultimate protection against cold weather. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurous spirits who want to look their best out on the slopes or among the wilderness, Moncler provides premium outdoor attire that can handle the frostiest of conditions and still look flawless at the end. The brand’s famous logo has long been associated with many models and celebrities like Olivia Palermo, Nicky Hilton, Suki Waterhouse, and Sofia Vergara.
Founded in 1952 by two French mountaineers, Moncler went from producing sleeping bags for the high altitudes of mountainous living, to becoming official sponsor for the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics’ French ski team, to what it is today... years and years of traditional craft and a legacy that extends further than the bounds of its quilted seams. It is a brand that is not afraid of innovation or of testing the limits of its audience. Impermeable to cold, a mixture of innovative technologies, unmistakably high-class designs, unique patterns, slimming fits, and a whole host of posh collaborations (such as with Rimowa, White Mountaineering, Mastermind Japan, Visvim, Mykita, Leica, Mary Katrantzou, New Era, Ami, Pharrell Williams, and Thom Browne...) bring Moncler into the forefront of winter fashion. CEO and Creative Director Remo Ruffini’s French-Italian label takes sportswear to the next level, never foregoing its fine quality or air of luxury. Moncler is what protection and warmth look like disguised as chic.
